Cinnamon is a spice used all around the world and in every culture. Cinnamon is commonly used in a variety of sweet desserts and savory dishes. It is also used for its healing properties which comes from the oil within the bark of the cinnamon tree. Did you know that Cinnamon also helps control blood sugar levels? 4 cups of water
4 cinnamon sticks
2/3 cups of fresh ground coffee
Truvia sugar substitute or
Agave nectar
Place cinnamon and water ingredients in a pot and bring to a boil. Add the coffee and reduce the heat allow it to simmer for about 20 minutes. Strain, serve and sweeten with Truvia or agave nectar.
Apple cinnamon oatmeal
1 apple peeled cored, and grated
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
1 cup old fashioned oats
2 cups of water
Place all ingredients in a pot. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and allow to simmer for 10-12 minutes. Or until oatmeal is thick and creamy. Serve and enjoy. You may sweeten with Truvia or agave nectar.
