In Honor of November Diabetes Awareness Month Latino Diabetes Association (LDA) Invites you to Support A1C Health Initiative Rise Up Against Diabetes
In recognition of November Diabetes Awareness Month, the Latino Diabetes Association (LDA) announce a legislative effort to make A1C testing a standard part of all blood work in California.
More than 3 million Californians live with diabetes, while another 10 million are prediabetic—the majority undiagnosed until symptoms appear. The A1C test measures average blood sugar over 3 months and is the most effective tool for early detection, yet it is not routinely included in standard blood panels. By making A1C testing standard from childhood, California can save lives, reduce disparities, and prevent diabetes. This is a bipartisan approval, simple, commonsense step that puts prevention first and equity at the forefront. LDA invites you support our “Rise Up Against Diabetes” health initiative to empower families across California to live healthier, Diabetes-Free lives.
