L.A. County Employee Charitable Giving in partnership with the LDA
We are proud to announce that the Latino Diabetes Association (LDA) has been selected as a partner organization in the L.A. County Employee Charitable Giving Campaign (CGC) — giving County employees a powerful new way to support diabetes prevention, education, and care in our communities.
Through this partnership, L.A. County employees can become LDA Champions to Stop Diabetes by making a recurring or one-time contribution directly through the Charitable Giving Campaign. Every donation — large or small — helps us expand programs that provide culturally responsive diabetes education, screenings, nutrition guidance, support groups, and resources for families affected by diabetes and pre-diabetes.
Why This Partnership Matters
Diabetes continues to disproportionately impact Latino families in Los Angeles County. Many individuals face barriers such as limited access to healthcare, language differences, and lack of preventive education.
By choosing LDA through the CGC, County employees are helping to:
-
Fund community-based workshops and prevention programs
-
Support early detection and screening initiatives
-
Empower families with tools to manage diabetes and live healthier lives
-
Reduce long-term health complications that can be life-threatening and costly
Together, we can make meaningful progress toward healthier neighborhoods and stronger families.
How L.A. County Employees Can Enroll
Participating in the Charitable Giving Campaign is simple. Employees may designate LDA as their charity of choice and set up their contribution directly through the county portal. Contributions can be managed through payroll deduction or as a one-time donation, making it convenient to support the cause throughout the year.
